Christmas Gifts for Gardeners
What could be easier than buying Christmas gifts for gardeners. There is an incredible amount
of choice and something for every pocket. There are really inexpensive gifts for gardeners that children
could buy for
grandparents, such as packets of seed of which there is a great variety,
including some of the wildflower mixes which look wonderful if you have room for a wild flower garden.
Another inexpensive gift would be a tin of Songbird mix, for those who like feeding the garden
birds. There is a huge selection of gardening gloves as well as small gardening tools, like trowel and
fork sets. You could make up your own set of trowel and fork set, gardening gloves and a kneeling pad, an
absolute necessity and a great Christmas gift for gardeners.
If you want to splash out a bit, how about a waterproof picnic rug for that well earned break, or a pair
of the amazing colourful
wellies, some with flower patterns that we now see
everywhere. Then there are quality tools, such as stainless steel spades or a really good pair of
secateurs or a pruning knife. A good quality wheelbarrow always comes in handy, or how
about a couple of rainwater butts, since water harvesting is high on the agenda these days. How about a
nice cashmere scarf to keep warm while gardening in the winter, or a nice wooly hat?
And let us not forget that gardeners need to look after their hands after a day's gardening.
You could make up a little hamper of flower scented soap, a nail brush, some hand wash and some lovely hand cream
or lotion. Collect all that in a little basket, wrap it in cellophane and finish with a bow - a perfect
Christmas gift for gardeners.
